A lot has changed to the Los Angeles Lakers when the team made the decision to trade Russell Westbrook last summer. Los Angeles traded legitimate NBA assets and a first round pick for Westbrook in the move which was widely criticized when it was made. Many of 2K23 MT those who opposed the deal ended up being right, and Westbrook ended up being the most thorn in the team's back last season. The Lakers find themselves in a situation where they're in a position to benefit in the event that they trade Westbrook but may have already thought about it but have given up.
The sad part is that Westbrook appears to still believe he is an elite player. He took a small amount of responsibility for the team's failure in his exit interview last season. Westbrook has an ego in basketball that's difficult to break. Perhaps the folks over the at NBA 2K23 can break that illusion of a ego a little bit, though. The ratings for the game are starting to come out and Westbrook's ratings are not the one of a star player (which the guy believes he's). It's that of a rotational bench player.
Russell Westbrook was given an awful 78 percent overall score on NBA 2K23. Russell Westbrook has the fourth-highest 2K23 ratings of the Los Angeles Lakers. Westbrook is clearly behind NBA superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis but he is even further behind his most recent colleague as well. The folks over at 2K have given Patrick Beverley a 79 overall rating, which is right for where he's right now in his life.
Westbrook has, in contrast, stood in a tie with Kendrick Nunn and is barely better than the likes of Thomas Bryant and Lonnie Walker IV. This is a massive decline for Westbrook, but it is 100% justified. Westbrook stans will be outraged by this rating and will be quick to Buy NBA 2K23 MT point to this box-scoring as an explanation why his score should be in the mid- to high 80s. Anyone who actually watched Lakers playing basketball during the season will know the blunder that this box score is and how poorly Westbrook performed last season.
